Hello this will be my first build and would like your advice on the items I have chosen. My PC would be used for gaming but also other things if needed (college student) for instance, some typing, internet, photoshop, video editing and other things. Heres the list of the items i have chosen would it be good for my needs?

CPU Cooler Deepcool GAMMAXX S40 54.2 CFM CPU Cooler
Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage Corsair Force LS 120GB 2.5" SSD Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

As I stated this is my first build only knowledge is from research I have done in a few days so hope everyone can give me your opinions on the build. (Bad or good)
Go with a single 8gb stick, drop to an 8320, go with a hyper 212 evo, jump up to a 750B, and definitely go with the Enthroo Pro. Everything else is great... maybe go with an 850 Evo as well.
For the CPU and Motherboard iI am going with it because of the bundle I can get either one but which would you recommend from the bundle if you had to chose (on the 8320 and 8350) http://www.microcenter.com/site/products/amd_bundles.aspx
I'm assuming that you live in the US and that you have a budget of around $915 correct me if I'm wrong please. Anyways here's what I came up with based on these two assumptions for now. I think that you will find that this build will give you a little bit more performance than the one you listed above. If you have any questions and/or concerns feel free to ask I'm more than happy to help.
Yes I do live in the US and preferably around $850 the lower the better which is why I am debating between two cases since there is about a $50 difference, but the build you showed me is very tempting
Yeah thats true and yeah i like that build more on the budget I would like to stay on thanks for all the recommendations. my biggest debate was between whether to go with intel or AMD for the CPU I lasted the most time on that haha
I personally would recommend going with the 4460 over the AMD alternatives because it has a stronger single core performance. The fact is that in today's world most software companies optimize there software for stronger single core performance, which is a shame. Realistically software companies should be optimizing them for more cores not single core and if that was the case AMD would be murdering Intel. But in the end if you want the best bang for your buck I would say pick up the 4460, although the AMD alternative should work fine for what you need to do as well.
I was gonna get the i5-4690k I think its called with a bundle from Microcenter.com but wanna save the most money since I don't know how much time I will put into my gaming on the PC if i have less and less time to get on it as time progresses.
The 990FX chipset is overkill for not overclocking. BUT the ASRock Extreme3 R2.0 has restrictions for cooler design for FX Processors (only top-blow aka downdraft because they cool the VRMs) so I would go with the ASUS there.
For general consensus: AM3+ no overclocking, no Crossfire/SLI calls for 970A rather than 990FX, right? (talking necessity here not extra features)
This step frees up 40$ that can go into the GPU.
And I would skip the Samsung SSDs. There are other problems than the 840EVO. I own a 840 Evo but because of those two issues I do not trust Samsung in terms of SSDs anymore. There are a lot of other options, similar in price and performance.
The 8350 is clearly the fastest processor in benchmarks but I'd argue that there is not that much difference in gaming to the 8320E. Going 8320E/970A instead of 8350/99FX should free up about around 60 bucks that you can sink in your GPU.
I would say to wait for Skylake if you can. Otherwise, it would be really wise to look at Haswell instead of the FX series. I would recommend looking at lower end i5s. Also, the 280x is a great card, but you might be better off going with the 380 as it is roughly the same performance, roughly the same price, but has newer features and whatnot.
P.s. You are likely to get a lot of differing advise from different people, but know that just about anything you pick is going to be just fine.
might want to wait for zen architecture and i dont like asrock mobos( but mines a lower end). But in any case i'd recommend gigbyte 990fx ud3 mobo. for the price u are spending on the case try NZXT h440. and i use that powersupply so dont know how i feel about that. you may want to try this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx600m . and 280x is a great card and awesome value for money but its a bit dated now. i had to choose b/w 280x and a r9 380(4GB) and i went with 380 but its just me. and this cooler try for a windowed case https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/enermax-cpu-cooler-etst40bk
