Cooler master EX2 625W
Arctic cooling freezer 7 rev 2
i just ordered the video card so its not in the system yet.
Audigy 2 ZS yes i know this sound card was made in 2007.
Heres a backstory someone asked on the part picker site.
it started in 2004 when I got my first computer it was. 2.8ghz Pentium 4 512mb DDR Ram and 128mb video card and a DVD Drive a 120gb Hard Drive Windows XP Home edition.
then I upgraded the heck out of it. added 3GB DDR got a 512MB video card a sound card Creative Audigy 2 ZS added 4 hard drives 2x160GB ide hard drive a 30gb I got from my uncle and 69gb raptor for my OS.
in 2009 I got 2 new hard drives to replace all but the raptor a 500GB WD blue and a 1tb black to replace all the data storage hard drives.
in 2011 I got a c2d motherboard and CPU a few trades later and I had the AMD A-4-3300 motherboard and APU.
in 2012 I got the Case seen here and the cooler just recently I got the PSU seen here and the 2TB hard drive and just ordered the video card in this listing. ill upload a better picture when I get that card in.
The combined total of these parts comes to over $1300, yet the build is very low powered. For that price, you could get a rig that could run any game currently out maxed out. (with the exception of crysis 3) This rig is good for almost nothing other than internet browsing. If you don't game, you could have created somthing similar to this for a few hundred, instead of over a thousand.
in case you didnt notice some parts are over 4 years old the sound card i got in 2007 2 hard drives i got in 2009 the mobo and apu and keyboard i got in 2011 the case and monitor i got in 2012 the psu and the newest hard drive and mouse i just got recently. and i just ordered the video card.
This escalated quikly just help the man instead of insulting his choise thats why he probably posted this
Ps i dont know too much but you should upgrade if you may to better parts for that price if this is a gaming pc i would only use the disc drive and/ or the harddrive from past years.
everything i have in that list i allready own so i cant really just toss money around and buy new parts on a whime i will do a few upgrades when i have the money but for now what i have is what i have.
thanks for being the first positive person to post..
btw i really dont all that much gaming i havent played wow since sometime last year and what i use the system for is mostly work related i run my own computer repair business out od my apartment in my town i backup and restore data from client hard drives and wipe scan for errors and its been fine even when i played wow i had no issues with my old video card gtx 275 everything was maxed well almost all settings.
Well as long as your happy with your computer, than that should be it. For upgrades I would say grab an A-10 because that will boost your performance a lot.
I think people do not acknowledge that this computer has bee alive since 2004, which in its own sense gets props. I actually think it's very cool that you have done that. I think some people just have an expectation of what a computer should be and that it needs to have a certain standard of new components. In any regards you and your computer have my respect.
