what temps on the 4770k?

Around 28 Celsius on idle, gets up to around 42 in games, 43-ish whilst rendering.

holy shit 4.8ghz 43C for real? i got 4.7ghz 77C (22C ambient) with a noctua nh-d14.

Don't be just yet, I made the mistake of using windows 8. Going back to 7. But thank you!

Windows 7 + SSD will always be better than Windows 8.  Windows 8 is just terrible.

Yeah the case is kinda out of my way and I also got the foam for silencing and it runs about 84% fan speed under full load and that keeps everything nice and cool.

I quite liked 8.1 but I've had so many problems with games and nexus mod manager and so many little bugs, the interface is to my taste but I can't deal with the bugs and such.

The interface isn't my problem, it's just there's so many things that need to be fixed with a lot of games and Pro Tools isn't quite there yet for windows 8.
