My build, Also questions about hardware

So I am planning to build a system that I will put together myself for the first time. I am trying to get the best components without going overboard. Main focus is on gaming. I am using a local retailer named Memory Express to get my parts so I can easily replace/exchange any broken parts. Website: http://www.memoryexpress.com/

My build so far:

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z

CPU: AMD FX-8350

CPU Cooler: Hydro Series H100i

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB

PSU: Corsair Professional Series Gold AX750

RAM: Patriot Viper Xtreme Series, DDR3 8GB, 2400MHz

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Enthusiast Case

I have tried looking up RAM frequency and CAS Latency and how they affect gaming. I have heard many things and I am still unsure about it all. Question: Will I see any improvements by going with 2400MHz RAM modules instead of something more basic like 1333MHz?

I am also buying some other things for my PC which I would love suggestions on.

Wireless Adapter: PCE-AC66 Wireless AC (For a gaming charity event thats coming up that has no ethernet cables) Question: Spending money on an expensive wireless adapter help with signal stability and strength at all?

Keyboard: Mionix Zibal 60 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013 Gaming Mouse

Sound System: Logitech Z906 5.1 Channel THX Speaker System

All in all, everything is going to cost me around 2200-2400.

This is my very first post on here, would love to get some feedback.

Thanks in advance, Suicidal360Flip

For the RAM; 1866 or 2133 is fast enough. You won't notice any difference while gaming.

As for CAS Latency, is lower better or does that also have little affect on gaming? I am looking at these 2133MHz RAM which are CL11 http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX34251. There are much more expensive ones that are CL9.

Lower CAS is only really noticable in video editing, but allows for more overclocking.

I'd go for 1866 @ 1.5 volts with a CAS latency of 9. 2133 is a complete waste of money.

There are 3 brands of RAM that are the same price, all at the same specs of 1866 @ 1.5v and CL9. There is G.Skill, Patriot, and Corsair. Which brand do you prefer?

Corsair is good RAM, Patriot is okay. Never had any experience with G.skill however. I'd go for the Corsair though.

I only use G.SKILL memory for my systems. I find the price/performance/build quality to be fantastic. I have never used their 1600mHz memory, but their Trident X series is fantastic. 2400mHz at CL10 is nice :)

Corsair has been making semi-conducters for the longest time out of those three. I'll also echo the ram speed 1866 is fine enough. 1333 and 1866 and all those speeds are the frequencies at which the chip operates. Higher the speed (just like cpus) higher the freq.

If your really into OC'ing you might want to look to mushkin red line. It's a higher end but will give you a boost in terms of pushing the envolope for what you can do with your ram.
