My $850 build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KU5V

Tell me what you guys think. I already ordered it all.. but I could return some stuff but over all I'm content with the parts specs. I already received the case, motherboard, psu, and hard drive.

I also bought 2 120mm fans and 2 140mm fans to go with it.

I should have the rest of the parts in by the end of this week so I will post some pics of the build unless I really need to return something and get something different.

Could've done quite a bit better but it's whatever just be happy with it haha.

What would you change?

I have no idea what Spenlard is talking about; one of the best build for the money. I would have gotten a modular, more efficient PSU, but that requires more $$$. Look into Seasonic or XFX Black if you haven't gotten the PSU, yet.

It is modular, well its a CX500M and its "semi-modular" It has slots for power to the video card it looks like... Do I have to order cables for those slots?? I'm about to check it lol I already put the psu in the case. Brb.

The PSU should have come with those cables. If not, you can send Corsair the story and try to get some cables.

Cx600 is 50$.

Cuda 1Tb is 60$.

Would've gone wired if you're gaming.

Cheaper case.

And I'd have at least fit a 7950. Maybe an 8350 also.

It's not bad, I'm just saying it could've had more buck to it. The money obviously went somewhere, and he'll have quality shit. It's not a shitty build by any means. There could be decent amount of performance added into it. I meant for him to not look back, what's coming is coming. Prices are always fluxuating and you'll always feel like you ripped yourself off. Are you trying to argue with everything I say or do you just really like feeling right? Just chill maan.

The Psu came with the power cables for the hard drives and the video card. But everthing else comes out of one hole and it is semi braided so I'm ok with the PSU

Very Nice build ghostbuster, only be ware of those ramms, with that huge air cooler.

cause those ramms have a bit high heat spreader, and the fan of that air cooler, will probabley cover the first ramm slot on the mainboard, dual channel is slot 1/3 or 2/4 so better chance those in low heat spreader models.

or you have to install the fan of that cooler to the otherside of the cooling block, but thats not natural ofc.

For the rest nice build realy.

maybe a 650 watt 80+ psu would be better, cause the 7870 recomded a 500 watt minimum psu, but it will still will runn fine  that build.

P.s. wenn hes gonne oc that radeon 7870 ghz edition, it will perform better then a stock 7950, in most games!

i have a 7870 His Radeon ghz edtion on stock speeds runn nice good card realy.

runn metro 2033 maxed out on 1680x1050 or so, on DX9 87/100 fps, depends on the situation in the game, with DX11 setting, 40/50 fps

Well I got a wireless keyboard because of my TV setup. I have an old study desk that would be to small for a desktop setup. But later on I plan on getting atleast a 21in monitor and a 120gb ssd

Thanks man!  Yeah I'm hoping that the ram will fit... also I've got a total of 5 fans already installed thats gotta be adding to the wattage draw.. or whatever people call it. And I might need to install another fan on the side. Now I'm kinda worried that I will be pushing my PSU to its limits. So should I begin to take my PSU out of the case and send it back lol?

yes thats cool :)

i have a samsung syncmaster 22inch now 2ms tn

but im looking for a 27 inch ips pannel... but they are a bit expensive :)

youre build looks realy good to me :)

grtz kira ps im a girl :p

Thanks girl :) lol sorry about that

haha No problem, not much girls here arround i guess :P haha

those fans not gonne be a big thing to the psu.

the card will maybe use  300 W on full load or so.. thats why  the radeon advices 500 W minimum...

the you have 200 left for the system it self  let it be 175 to get it in the danger zone

i use a 750 W Enermax naxn 80+ but its not cheap semi modular

p.s. i see a build picture the ramm wil  fit as far as i see, but its close :P

Haha don't worry man, I'm actually atm building a 6300 7870 setup! I just can't see myself needing more than that lol. I just figured you were going for bang for the buck. I actually have the same ram, and am getting hard drive too. O.o. I got the ram for 30$ on black friday though, it's a bit pricy for g.skill, always thought of them as awesome value high performing ram. Very nice doh! If it's all the power you need, awesome. Just figured you were trying to get as much possible performance-wise. Only thing I'd have done is a cheaper case like the 300r and a nicer psu. Still good though! I feel like I came off like I was saying it was shit haha. My bad!

Awesome thanks! I was trying to find a picture aswell..

Is there some like program that I can monitor the the wattage use of my PSU?

Here are some pictures of it so far.

looks very nice, i realy like that case too

and if you got a problem with the ramm, you can allways install them on slot 2/4 that doesnt make any diffrence.

HW monitor  from cpu-Z its a trail for 30 days but that doesnt matter,  that gives some wattage.

but you can just run some games and a benchmark, and prime to test wenn the cpu is to low, it will shut down the system, or start to beep

Thanks! Alright I'll make sure to do some benchmarks when I get it all setup.

I need some help with mounting the fans. Currently I have them set up like this: 2X 140mm top exhaust, 2x 120mm front intake, and 1x 120mm rear exhaust. Should I make the two top fans intake? Or keep it like it is?

PS: the rest of my parts should be at my house within the next hour.
