My 1st Build and Part Selection (HELP!)

This is my 1st PC build and I would like some feedback to know that I chose the right parts. My 1st question is: I unknowingly bought an Ivy Bridge Processor and a L1155 socketed motherboard, Ive read online that it wil still fit no problem. Is this true?

Here are the Parts:

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LK

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge

GPU: EVGA 02G-P4-3664-KR GeForce GTX 660 Ti FTW Signature2 2GB

Power Supply: Thermaltake Black Widow W0319RU 850W ATX

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

HDD: Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB

Case: Fractal Design Define R4

Wireless Card: ASUS PCE-N15 (I have to use one)

Is there any way I can install my OS without an optical drive?

Please let me know if you see any problems, Thanks -Branson

That CPU is LGA 1155, as is the MOBO, it should work.

Have you already bought the parts? if so, you should be fine, there are optimazations (its not perfect), but it will work.

You should be able to install the OS from a USB, look on youtube for info as I'm not sure how to do it.

Yep, that works, the only problem is getting it onto the USB, but if you have access to another PC, you should be fine.

can you do powerline internet it's much better than wifi. and here is a usb multiso maker

Thanks, thats finally some peace of mind for me. :)

Ive heard alot about not being able to Overclock an Ivy Bridge is that true? (I've heard it's just too hot?)

I myself am not sure about temps, but you bought an unlocked processor, which means its multiplier is unlcoked and it can be overclocked easier. It is very overclockable, you will just want to get an appropriate cooler to accomodate what type of OC'ing you are going to do.

That tells you how to overclock and such.
