Multiple USB Webcams in OBS?

I’m using OBS in windows and I want to use multiple cameras. I just have webcams, but they will do for the space that I am in. However I find I can’t have two running at once. Is this a windows limitation or just a thing with OBS?

Just checked, still works just fine.

Setup:
Win10 Edu
Microsoft Livecam 5000
Canon EOS 700D
OBS 27.1.3 (64 bit)

yeah see I’m just using 2 NORMAL webcams… No fancy shit

Have you tried connecting the webcams to different USB ports? Sometimes the USB controller can be a bit funky.

No issues here while testing a Logitech C930E and C920 in OBS on Win 11 Enterprise on a Thinkstation p920 so maybe as someone said above it could be a USB controller issue? Ill test it aswell on my i9 10900 machine when i have the time and see if that is also the case there.
