Multiple gateways on Truenas

Hi Guys,
How can I connect as normal DHCP as shown but direct connect the Mellanox port 1 to my workstation and connect port 2 to my Synology 10.10.10/ network to r sync back up? Truenas keeps trying to change the Gateway to the private networks instead of keeping the existing DHCP gateway.

I don’t think I understand what you’re asking. If the ports are directly connected to other servers, they won’t be asking the DHCP server for an address.

You can use any number of ways to statically configure the address at each end of the link, but also remember to configure the route so that the high bandwidth link is the first one chosen using the route’s metric value – a lower metric has priority.

K3n.

Another option is on the other “non-dhcp” direct route links, remove the gateway. If they are direct links to other servers then they shouldn’t be used to send normal traffic anyway. Then the server will stop trying to use them to route normal traffic.

Cheers Guys, I have changed the enp6s0 to a static ip and then created the direct connection without specifying the gateway and it works  it has connected @ 100GBE but I’m not getting the best numbers yet.

Any ideas what could be throttling the connection? Pretty much sends/receives a 18GB file @3GB/s
Its x399 mobo with 2950x 4x 990 pro nvme(obvs this will be limited to gen 3 nvme) in raidZ1, the workstation is wrx90 7965wx 1x 990 pro nvme. was hoping for like 6GB/s
There is a myriad of settings new to me on the mellanox nics
