[MSI X99 Tomahawk] USB Issues

Just recently bought an i7-6800k and an MSI X99 Tomahawk as an upgrade for my PC. The first day the USB ports would seem to drop out for about a second before coming back. I installed a BIOS update and since then this has been occurring less frequently (about 2x a day vs 2x an hour). I'm about to just return this board to Newegg and possibly grab the X99 Carbon. I would get an ASUS board but the prices are absurd.

Does this sound like a return worthy issue or should I wait for a possible driver/Windows/BIOS update?

*Would like to note that no other unstable behavior has been observed. I have tried every port of every type (2.0, 3.0, 3.1) and all seem to suffer this issue. Event Log shows nothing abnormal either.

This is my main workstation for development and entertainment so any help is greatly appreciated.

If you guys have any other X99 boards with USB-C and M.2 Support to recommend definitely let me know!

What OS are you running? On my own X99A Gaming 7 I noticed that the PC stopped bluescreening almost every day (USB-related error codes, FYI) as soon as I downgraded from Win8.1 to Win7.

Try another OS for a day and see if it still drops the ports. No need to update it or even enter a product key if you're just testing, just keep the PC offline.

Currently Windows 10 Professional x64. I might try running it in Linux all tomorrow and see if the issue occurs. I suppose I could try Windows 7 though this isn't ideal.
