Msi r9 270x gaming issues

hi

i have just got an msii r9 270x gaming and whether im gaming or browsing net i some times get these little black boxes appear on the screen, i`m not sure if it toast or that its not getting enough power from the power supply.

my system specs are

AMD FX 8320 oc to 4.2ghz

MSI 970 Gaming mobo

8GB ram

samsung 840 evo ssd

1TB wd black

Coolermaster G-Series 500W Fully Wired 80+ Bronze Power

many thanks

Sounds like artifacting.

What are your GPU/CPU temperatures and is the GPU overclocked?

Could also be, although not as likely, linked to your CPU overclock. Try running it at stock CPU speeds.

when i run vally benchmark on extreme hd its runnung at 64c-67c, it not overclocked in any way and i have tryied my cpu back on stock clocks and it still does the same

Remove all oc .

If this fails : my fixes are re install drivers + set to manufacturer clocks .

i have done that and the problem still happens

Artifacting is generally a symptom of component failure.

is my power supply good enough or is the card just gone bad

Might also try turning your graphic settings up in ccc with just a little bump on the power settings.

what do you mean by turning the graphics settings up in ccc?

Catalyst Control Center.  You have the option of doing a generic overall adjustments or tweaking individual graphic settings. Also included is a basic power adjustment of something like twenty percent.

I have had a couple of 7870's start artifacting at stock settings but once i cranked up the settings artifacting went away. Worth a try?

i have now tried your suggestion but im afraid that it has not helped

yup , i would say its dying then.
