The Msi 7970 lightning edition supposedly provides higher overclocking capability through having more advanced power delivery and other features. however this means that is much more expensive than most other 7970s. Is the performance advantage that it may or may not give worth its price?
Unless you're using watercooling you won't notice the extra power phases and such. But the costum cooler would most definitely help you overclock higher.
Thanks for your help
well i cant say for the standard lightning as i have the boost edition but im extremely impressed i have mine at 1350 core clock at 1.31v on core i never reached 70+ degrees using furmark and then my memory is clocked to 1750 with a tiny little voltage increase never reaches 57 degrees so im very happy with my card in fact so happy im trying to buy another!
