Msi gtx 660 twinfrozr oc vs evga gtx 660 sc

Just wondering which I should get? Which would keep cooler and run games better

Twinfrozer has a better cooler. EVGA doesnt often have aftermarket coolers worth talking about.

The twinfozr over clocks a lot better on the 660 ti pe, linus posted a video you could find on it, he benchmarked a few different vendors of the 660 ti against each other.

For my next buy i'm looking exclusively at msi, the twinfrozr is literally the only thing i ever hear about when it comes to these new current gen cards. Also i don't want to talk you up ~$50 but the real value is in the 660ti, and the best value is in the 7870 which cost the same as a the 660 but benchmarks the same as a 660ti. I'm just assuming you need CUDA so it's not an option, just thought i'd inform you.

goto tek lol this site is hard on the EYES!

I prefer the Frozr and it's cooler, but EVGA is such a masssive company they have many accesories like backplates availible usually.

Get the MSI.

If you do overclock check out this thread, I posted lots of information on overclocks the MSI twinfrozr card, with some results from my 660 ti PE

Just so the OP knows, PE editions no longer overclock that well. They have removed the possibility to adjust the voltage on the cards.

They still overclock well without that, here take a look at this thread I posted my OC without using it. Plus all you have to do is download the older version of Afterburner and you can still tweak the core voltage fine. It's like a shitty rumor that's going around and everyone is just saying that becuase someone else said it lol

Not a rumor Nvidia stated it themselves.

EVGA talking about it

http://techreport.com/news/23678/nvidia-program-ties-gpu-warranty-support-to-voltage-limits

They have stated that this will void your warranty, so if MSI or EVGA decides to check for overvolting and no longer warranty it because is no longer warranting them.

No I didn't mean a rumor sorry I meant that you can easily get around it if you really wanted to and you can still get a decent overclock and performance boost out of the cards, just check out the thread I linked.
