MSI - GP60 Leopard-010

I'm in the market for a new gaming-level laptop for college. Portability is essential, so I've had to put my pc project on the backburner for a while and I understand I won't get the same power for dollar that I would with a desktop, but I'm ok with that. Before anyone says "are you really going to drag your laptop around that much anyways?" I'll answer that by saying yes, I will be. I'm going to college in Tokyo but plan on traveling back to America during some of my summer breaks and want to be able to easily bring my computer back with me to game with my friends.

All that said, I've been browsing for a while and it looks like the MSI - GP60 Leopard-010 is good bang for the buck, laptop-wise. However, I can't find a single review anywhere on this computer. Does anyone here have experience with this laptop, or MSI in general? Are they a quality brand? The keyboard is made by steelseries, are their keyboards pretty solid or are they kinda bendy?

The laptop is $879.99 on Amazon, if anyone else has a comparable laptop for around the same price that they can recommend, that would be great. Price MUST be under $1,000.

I've been in the market for a similar setup for my brother as a graduation gift. This is my top pick.

Another contender is this:

And this as well:

Lenovo also makes the y410p and y510p which I've considered.

I'm leaning toward the MSI because it has the 840m. Can't speak to any of their quality unfortunately.

Btw, newegg also has the product for a little cheaper:

Rowan, I found the MSI for about 20$ more off here: http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gp60-leopard010-p-6964.html?wconfigure=yes

You have to pay in a different way than a credit card though to get it...something about mailing a check or making a wire transfer. But, that's 20$ saved that could go towards something else, like a new mouse.

Looking at all those options, I'm really liking the y510p, especially with the SLI setup and the nice design. I think I'll wait for the y50 to release in May for the price to drop on the y510p before I buy it, but that's what I'm going to go for.
