MSI B450-A PRO MAX Motherboard - Will it support VFIO?

To preface this: I currently have a working VFIO setup with an FX-8350 on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 R5 with a Radeon R7 260X as my host GPU and passing thru a Radeon RX580 to Windows.

I have been lucky enough to been gifted a Ryzen 5 2600 and a MSI B450-A PRO MAX motherboard. I was scouring the internet for more information on the IOMMU support and groupings for this specific motherboard, but had no luck.

I did however come across Wendell’s video on the MSI B450 Tomahawk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxtrHDJUMt4) and noticed that it had the same AMD chipset. I am wary to assume that having the same chipset is indicative of having the same level of IOMMU support and groupings, but is it?

The real questions that I have are:

  1. Will this board support VFIO in any capacity?
  2. If so, will the groupings work well enough for passing thru one of the AMD cards, and will I need the ACS patched kernel? (I currently do not need that for my machine)

Thanks for taking a look!
