MSI 970 Gaming

I remember reading about this somewhere on this forum, and noticed that it's popped up in PcPP.

Their product page doesn't really say a whole lot: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/970_GAMING.html#hero-overview

It appears to be a 6+2 Power Phase design: http://www.techpowerup.com/202248/msi-officially-announces-the-970-gaming-am3-motherboard.html

So I guess MSI actually may have a decent AM3+ board now.  The early reviews on newegg seem to be ok.

Been considering it for budget amd gaming builds. Yet to have purchased one tho. My personal exp. with MSI causing me pause. Interested in if it has any vdroop issues or not. Would like to be able to run modest overclocks on it. No one has reviewed it yet that i have found. Would very much be welcome if its a decent mb.

It is however, slightly more expensive than the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P.  I wish we had more reviews on the gigabyte and msi.

The better sound and features would be worth it. Most of the cheap 970's have crap for sound. I havent compared the two closely yet. Still waiting on someone to oc the mb and do a decent review.

Gigabytes has a digital 8+2 power phase design.  The MSI does seem to have nice audio and networking, though.

its a 6+2 powerphase and digi vrm yes.  In terms of feutures it looks a bit compairable to the Z87-G45 gaming, if you ask me.

i think its a very nice board for its money. But i dont know all the ins and outs from it just yet. But i will defintely dive into it, cause ithis board has my attention ☺

all i know sofar that it has 6+2 powerphase digi vrm, killer nik E2200 lan, and ALC1150 audio chip.
