MSI 770-c45 replacement

Hi guys, i'm using setup below since 2010, it was oryginally a prebuilt that i bought being young and stupid. I've had no problems with it to this point but right now i'm looking for a upgrade (parts below) and after reading this:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1207914/1100t-on-msi-770-c45

I'm a little bit scared that my mobo will burn my new and shiny GTX 760.

So guys, can i trust my current msi or should i be worried and upgrade to something better?
If i should replace my mobo what would you recomend? I'm from Poland and my budget is 370zł, about $115.
I was looking at the ASRock 970 Extreme4, will it be any good?

If that's possible i would like to get multiple opinions on this subject, i know that on some forums when one person responds to the thread other users don't want to get in his way but please, i would like to hear as many opinions as possible on this subject, i'm really freaked out that my mobo can burn this gpu.

My current specs:
MSI 770-45c

Modecom Carbon MC530

Phenom II x6 2,8Ghz 1055t

Radeon HD5770 1gb

ADATA 2x2GB 1600

Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM

Tracer Tornado (cheap chinese case with basically no air flow)

Parts i'm planning to buy in this upgrade (links to Polish shop i will be buying from):

This are 2 good boards, if you ever plan an upgrade to an FX8 core then i would advice the EVO.

isn it an option for you to buy hardware in Germany by the way?

I actually wanted to do exactly what you're saying, get a fx chip and sli 760's but that's my plans for like two years from now, i was planning to get a Asus M5A99FX PRO, Noctua D14 and Corsair cs 750 but i'm not really sure if i should spend that much more money on something that far off in time, i mean by the time i will upgrade next my new and expensive mobo, cooler and psu can be outdated and i will have to upgrade them anyways.

And the most importamt think: how bad is my current mobo? Should i be worried about putting new hardware on it?

@edit:

It is, but usually prices in euro are very high when paying in złoty, it's usually not worth it but i sure can check.

okay if you are planning to go with an Sli option in the feuture, then you need to buy a 990FX chipset board, cause 970 boards dont support Sli.

Asus M5A99FX pro R2.0 is a decent one.

But basicly your current board will not be good enough for an FX 8 core, and maybe also no sli support.

The MSI 970 gaming, Ilove that mobo and it looks great

I thought they can run in 16x by8x or by 8x by 8x

970 boards dont support sli, they have 20 pci-e 2.0 lanes configured as X16 / X4.

Sli does not work on 4x.

@Teajam: I would rather not get a msi again, plus mobo you listed is not avalible where i live.

@MisteryAngel: Yeah, i know that but i wonder if it will do until i will upgrade next or if i should replace it right now becouse it's dangerous to other components?

Btw. I don't oc and I'm not planning to oc on my current mobo.

I had issues with MSI in the past (K7N2 Delta-L  that needed replacing twice) but now I'm on a MSI z87-g45. Granted that isn't the board to help you, but just pointing out that there's some good and bad.

Ms. Angel here is one the the resident FX experts (if it's not an official title, she's as close as we have.)  The 970 boards allow for crossfire if you stayed Radeon. Coming from a guy that uses a GTX760, the r9 280 are a bit cheaper and have a bit more push to them (just a bit more though) and 3GB isn't that bad either.

I've got the 4GB 760 and have yet to exceed 3GB it just can't do it to my knownledge. I now consider that a gimmick. I'm sure that doesn't have anything to do with you issue, but it's good to know about the 760's.

ermm what was the issue again? OH right! Personally I'd say go with the M5A97 r2.0. Price/performance on it is good, got one running my file server with an FX-6300. As stated you can crossfire, just not SLi.

Sorry I ramble and run off on tangents easily.

Well basicly if your current board does not give you any issues atm, then basicly there would be no need to upgrade it atm, unfortunatly i dont know the board you currently have, so i need to dig it up somewhere on the net, about its pci-e specs.  but basicly if it has an X16 slot you should be fine.

If your board dies, then its most likely that the vrm´s burn out, or capacitors blow arround that the vrm area, Msi had some leaking capacitor problems in the past. But this should basicly be no harm wenn it comes to the pci-e slot.
