I have a question to which I did not find any answer on the web, here is the problem :
I recently purchased a used MSI 6950 2GB twin frozr III video card. The card works great on every game, but it makes a weird noise when frames are rendering, in a game for example. The pitch of this noise depends on the frame per second displayed on the screen while in game.
I am 100% sure the noise is not coming out of the video card fans, it starts instantaneously when I launch a game (load on the card) and stops when I close the game and come back to desktop. This strange noise can be louder than the video card fans ! The noise comes from the card, but I could not find out from what part of the PCB it is coming from...
So, here are my questions about this issue : Is it normal ? Do I need to worry about an imminent failure of the GPU ?
