Msi 670 power edition or evga 670 ftw sc2

Wondering which to get, both are pretty much the same price.

I havent been able to find any benchmarks that include both of these cards, therefore Im unsure which is better, even if I find a benchmark from one, and then one for the other, from two different sources its most likely they were in different parts of the game.

The evga ftw sc 2 Is overclocked and ive heard can be overclocked much more, I havent been able to find much on the msi 670 power edition, but someone recommended it to me.

I think people generally say the EVGA is the best of the 670s.

Go for the PE and over-volt the crap out of it.

Just look up a guide on how to overclock on MSI afterburner. I think its comes free with any MSI card.

Ah cool, but I was just wondering which one is better in terms of overclockability and temperatures, as well as noise.

I prefer MSI cards as long as they have the Twin Frozr cooler.

The MSI will run cooler and quieter with as Vortex said with the Twin Frozr cooler. The MSI the going to beat the crap out of the EVGA in overclocking.

msi is win, the cooling on those things are boss as said above twin frozr, espicial if it a twin III, as the fan on it does a few reverse spins on system boot to help keep dust clear, also the hawken does it.

Actually, I have a couple of MSI cards in my rig, and the fans will spin in reverse to expell dust for 30 seconds upon boot.

now this is the thing do you run a frozr II by any chance? cause i do and when i boot i hear them fans go at it for about that long too, but i i always did wounder whether it was the card doing the boot up reverse thing? only reason im not sure is it's not an advertised feature on the frozr II but on the III and onwards it is. just woundering really. but i do suspect it is that though.

Will do man! :D Im either going to buy it today or tomorrow, then I should get the card withing 2-3 days. Cant wait to finally take the full leap to pc gaming :D its been annoying having an incomplete rig since august. Thanks a ton for all your advice guys!

I have a Twin Frozr III on mine (MSI GTX 580 Lightning Xtreme).

They've been out of stock since the 15th aof february, thats a whole week, debating getting the evga now :P

on an unrelated note: my dads freaking out about this xD "Surely you could get it cheaper, all your getting is a piece of board blah blah blah etc etc" I think he thinks a graphics card is the same as the little crappy tiny thing in his 10 year old pc 0.o

here ya go or just wait for scan to do it. i pre-ordered my 660 from scan when it was out of stock at the time, they also had a restock delay and offered the evga alternative. but i was not and am not willing to pay for a more expensive card with an infirior cooling sollution. so yeah your call dude
