So can i move my os from my HDD to my newer Monster Digital 120GB SSD.(i know its not a recommended drive but it is what i have) I built by rig about a week ago and just now received my ssd, i am new to the proses any information will be helpful thanks for your time.
If your entire windows partition is less than 120gb then you could use something like acronis to do a drive to drive transfer, what os are you trying to move ?

Id recomend reinstalling the os, there are a few optimizations windows 7 does for an ssd that can help it last longer that wont be enabled if you just copy the partitions

and do i have to move every thing on the disk of just sertim files.
That looks like it could work but iv never used it, I have always used acronis true image.
