Hey guys so i asked my computer science teacher if it was possible to move a mini itx motherboard to a new mid tower case with no problem and he said yes and a mini itx mobo can fit any case and can use adapters to make sure it fits. Is it true? or its bull and its hard to do.
Did you build your computer yourself? If so then yes you can move it. If it is store bought you could have compatibility problems.
no store bought teacher said i can do it easily so is he lying ?
You shouldn't have any problems, the board layouts are pretty well standardized and should fit just fine. Almost any case will have standouts for the board it is made for (atx, micro atx, etc.) and anything smaller. I am not going to PROMISE you will work in ALL cases, but I will tell you that there SHOULDN'T be any problems with doing this.
thank you both and i am looking at a antec 300 which does supports mITX boards so it will fit thank you again
