Anybody want to recommend a good, large mouse pad for gaming? I don't really have preferences as to profile, I just want something that will track nicely with a high dpi optical mouse, and I've got about a 12"x12" space to work with, not considering the keyboard. Anybody have recommendations?
I love my razer one I think it's a goliathus. Works well with my Razer Deathadder and Logitech MX Revolution.
I have a Puretrak Talent, just watch out for the white one, looks good but picks up dirt like crazy.

I love the Razer Goliath. I highly recommend the "control" version as it just feels perfect to me. Never tried the "speed" one, but I have never felt there was too much friction on this guy. Just an all around awesome pad.
SteelSeries QcK i have a few d3 ones the are cool the go on sale for 10 bucks
I have the SteelSeries QcK as well and I like it a lot with my G9x
I just bought a Zowie TF-Speed mouse pad and I love it so far. I have gamed with the hard plastic/metal pads since the early 2000's but I think the cloth on plastic way better feeling to me now. This pad is gigantic, but for your space I think Zowie has a smaller version that is sold on Amazon in the US.
I use an XTrac XXL soft mouse pad. It's 36 x 18 inches and it is glorious. I just have it beneath my keyboard and mouse. Of course, they have smaller pads if you need them.
