Moto X Style [RANT]

I’m going to preface this rant with that I own a Moto X 2014 and love it except for one thing; The Storage. So with that out of the way I’m going to list the things that I wanted to have on the next gen moto x.
Bigger Battery

EXPANDABLE STORAGE (didn’t see this comming)

Quad HD (honestly didn’t care about this, but hey I will take it)

Flagship Killer Price

All added to what the 2014 moto x had (well, somewhat)

So after looking at that you might think that hey what is wrong with it then. Well as most of you probably guessed, the 5.7 screen. Why Motorola, why do you tease me like this. Personally I had no issue with them making the phone 5.5 inches even(that being the extent of my range for a phone not a phablet) but no sorry 5.7 inches is too much. That is no territory for a standalone phone. To put that into perspective, that is the screen size of the Galaxy Note 4. Ya let that sink in for a sec. Now for those of you who like your phablets, good for you, this rant will not apply to you. However this was honestly the last thing that I would have expected from Motorola. The went from being the company that was against the grain with screen size and specs. They were the ones that made two great phones with “last gen specs” but people loved anyways. Look at the original Moto X, that was the true example of that. The 2014 moto x was not quite as “lesser speced,” but still when most phones were going toward quad hd and the snapdragon 810, they chose to keep 1080p and use the slightly older, but still great preforming snapdragon 801. Now before you guys say anything, yes I am aware of the Moto X Play, however that phone lacks the design elements that I love in the other moto x like that nice curved back. So maybe motorola is deciding that they will make more money going with the larger screen, and hey I can understand that. I guess what made me the most angry was that they nailed every complaint that I had with the original Moto X, but then took it all away from me with that big ass screen. I guess I will just hang on to my current Moto X and hope that the next Moto X goes back to its roots somewhat (or the release a next gen droid that checks all of the boxes above)

Ok so I guess that’s end rant, what do you guys think, were any of you guys disappointed, or are most of you guys just not caring because you would rather have the 1+2?

Have you seen the Asus Zenfone2? Sounds like exactly what you want.

Ya I like LTE and can't get that with Verizon and the zen phone

Motorola ruined the moto x with the TFT screen and not the size itself. If you want a smaller phone they still sell the moto x 2014.

I know the Moto X Pure is launching for $299, not sure what the specs are though.

I believe the Pure edition is the same as the style in specs, it is just sold through moto only no carriers

I was trying to say that Motorola didn't make the moto style for everyone. It is for people who want a big powerhouse but they ruined that with the TFT screen. The moto x is for people who want a smaller phone for people who want a snappy experience.
