So my Moto G stopped working after using a re-trek wall charger. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Start off with the basic stuff, like removing the battery and putting it back in, using different chargers+cables, and the other normal stuff. If that doesn't fix it, it's time to move onto the more complicated/expensive stuff.
Take apart your phone and test each individual component on the motherboard with a multimeter. If you don't find the problem after that, use something like a BGA rework station and heat up each of the IC Chips on the logic board until the solder underneath melts. If that still doesn't solve it, replace the power management IC(s) and hope for the best.
If none of that works, or you don't want to attempt such a large job on the phone, send the phone into a place which will do all that for you, attempt to get a warranty for your phone, or give up and buy a new phone and never use that charger again.
Good luck, and I hope this helped!
I assume you know that it is one of those phones where you have to actually open it to get to the battery.
I do, but I listed it because I have seen it solve problems similar to yours in the past, and it is much easier/cheaper than most of the other things that I listed.
What do you mean by that? and what are you looking for when you check it?
