Motherboards vs customer service

after reading tons of reviews on a lot of motherboards it almost seems scary to buy motherboards these days when you choose to go for an expensive brand... out of all the motherboard manufacturers, who seems to have the best customer service in regards to potential returns? seems most companies blame the user even though their product was shipped with broken parts, goop on the boards, component chips that fault, warped boards, bent pins, etc... i pesonally am buying at this point for warranty expecting to have issues with a motherboard, but it also seems a motherboard warranty is almost useless because when you send them back they default to the excuse that your warranty is void because of a bent pin from poor quality control thus not only costing you the money of the board but the whole shipping process. i dont feel you should have to harrass a manufacturer to honor their warranty.

You are correct my friend. Unfortunately today manufactures tend to cut back on what we use to call service. I have had some miserable dealings with Asus. I have also seen on Newegg many people complain about service from various companies once the 30 day Newegg return policy is over. Whenever possible I go to a local retailer and purchase my components. I tell them how much I can get it from the Egg with shipping and ask if they can match the price and most times they can. This way if something goes wrong I don’t have shipping costs or hassles with the 1-800 we don’t give a shit numbers. Just a suggestion.
