MotherBoards are confusing, need help

This is the question that I have; What is the difference between these 2 motherboards?

Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AMD Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131873

Asus M5A99X EVO ATX AMD Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131754

I notice that the 99X has a newer northbridge, but is it worth the extra $35? (I'm kind of on a budget)

They both support my CPU as well, which is an AMD FX 8320 8 core 3.5GHz.

Thanks for the help!

Ok the big difference I've found on 990x and 970 is the pci bus speeds

990x gets you more total bandwidth for you pci 2.0 slots.  The 990x gives you a 16x for single and 8x for dual cards.

The 970 gives you 16x for single but only 4x for dual cards.  At least thats all I've seen from it.
