Motherboard (upgrading) help

Hey people! So I built my first PC about 2 years ago (still a noob) and my motherboard is giving me some issues. The audio ports no longer work and some of my usb ports have quit as well. I've been think about doing some upgrades anyway so I was wondering if i could get an opinion on a good motherboard that isnt ridiculously pricey. The second part of this question is I have an amd APU system but I recently put an HIS Radeon HD 7880 (or maybe 7870?) in it so while i'm upgrading, since i have the decent graphics card, should I swap out my CPU for something non-APU as well?

Here's my build:
ASrock extreme6 FM2 motherboard
AMD A10 5600k CPU
HIS Radeon HD 7880 turbo
Crucial Ballistix 8gb ram (2x 4gb)
Corsair 450w psu
crappy 20 dollar case

Thanks for any help! :)

Sorry, just double-checked, the GPU is 7870 not 7880

Its a 7870 yes, i exaly have the same gpu.

But back to your question.
It basicly depends on how pleased you are with your current gpu.
I think that a A10-5600k will totaly work fine with your current gpu.
However if you ever plan to upgrade your gpu to something more highend, then your cpu will definitely become a bottleneck in some games.

So in other words it highly depends.

Appreciate the feedback! I'm perfectly content with my gpu for the time being and don't really forsee myself upgrading that for quite some time. I'm happy to know I can hang on the the cpu a while longer then :) any motherboard suggestions? After all the crap I've gone through with my current one, I'm a little iffy on ASRock as a manufacturer

Maybe a good board if you can find.
Asus A88X Gamer.
