i was looking for help finding a new motherboard that fits good with my hd 7770 double wide card, i aslo have a i5 3570k lga1155 andDiablotek UL Series PSUL775 775W,the last motherboard i had was a MSI Z77A-G41,i had a power outage and it must have got fried because the psu and everything else works fine. my price range is 150$ max
that same exact board would work best likely, if my theory is correct it should be easier to reconfigure if you already have windows installed if you use the same type of board.
i would say look up a Msi gaming series board. Msi Z77A-G45 Gaming. nice looking board for a good price, with cool gaming feutures. Msi´s G41 and 43 boards aren´t that great. theire quality starts abit with the G45 gaming and up.
That rig is pretty good but if I were you I would not but any new 1155 socked motherboard because that socket is dead. Haswell launched toghter with the 1150 socket.
he allready has a i5-3570k ivy bridge cpu, why should he go for hasswell?, then he need to buy a new mobo and cpu.. the performance diffrence between hasswell and ivybridge aren´t that big, i suppose in gaming even not noticable. also a ivy bridge cpu overclocks better then hasswell.
so i dont see why he should not buy a new Z77 mobo for his i5-3570k.
You got a good point that socket 1155 is dead, but upgrading to a Hasswell i5-4670K is realy a waste of money.
