I can't seem to find a good motherboard, whenever I post a build someone tells me that my mobo isn't right. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also could someone tell me if my processor is good for gaming. Here is my build so far:
(p.s. any recommendations for any part would help because I want to play Battlefield 3 and all of the newest games on Ultra settings)

Get the ASRock Extreme6 990FX board, it's like, $159 has a 12+2 power phase and supports memory speeds of at least 2400 MHz. It also supports processors of a TDP of 140 W. So it is already a bit excessive by most standards. If that doesn't float your boat, there is always the ASRock Fatality Professional 990FX, or the Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2 or the Asus Crosshair V Formula Z, Or the Gigabyte GA 990FX UD7. Take your pick by whatever preference you'd like, they all support stable overclocking due to adequate power phases and they all have their own custom UEFI bios.
Well, I really like asus mobos, very well made and stable. The sabertooth 990fx is very nice, bu if you're looking for a cheaper one, I heard the asus m5a97 970 is a good bang for the buck. The processor is good, but if you have the extra money, why not get a fx 8350? It's about $70 more, but it is totally worth the price, but with that you're gonna have to get a more expensive mobo like the sabertooth 990fx, but the processor you chose is fine
Mndless is wrong. You really don't need all those features for your build. It's excessive. And the FX memory controller only supports 1866mhz ram anyway.
Like I said, an ASRock 970 Extreme4 is going to suit your build very well. Your CPU is only 95w, which means you can even OC on this board decently. It has 3 pcie2.0 lanes, and you can xfire/sli at dual x8 speeds. It's also got UEFI and a usb3.0 header.
Its a 100 dollar board. I'll sell you mine for 85 dollars shipped. It's going to be rock solid for your build, and mine is only a week old.
Just a side note - get Promilatech PK1 instead of Arctic Silver 5. It performs several degrees cooler than AS5, and it is only a few dollars more, so I highly recommend it. It is the best thermal paste on the market.
