Motherboard not powering up

My friend has just finished building his first PC. Everything is set in place (so we think). It seems that his motherboard is getting power, but it isn't booting up. There's a green light that stays on, so it's getting power, but the power switch does nothing most of the time. We had few instances where he smoehow got it to boot into the UEFI, but then the fan lights would flicker and the system would shut off. One time we noticed that it lost power right a we were moving it. Loose or bad circuitry maybe? Here are some pics of the build in case anyone must know.

We think the power LED light wires are causing the problem, but we don't really know jack, lol. Any input is appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Try going through this like " http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems " list of problems of why you won't boot. Go through every one of them until your computer can p.o.s.t (power on self test) (if you have a speaker, if you do it helps diagnose the problem).

Thanks for the link. Looks like our Power LED wires/mobo prongs are bad.

Are you sure you plugged all of your front panel connectors in correctly? A bad power LED wire is not going to prevent your PC from turning on. The light on the front of your case just won't light up when you do turn it on.

Yeah, they're all in correctly. We're bringing it to a local PC shop for a diagnosis.

Did you end up going through all of the troubleshooting steps to p.o.s.t? If not, you could save some money by just troubleshooting it yourself.
