Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX/GEN3 R2.0 has pcie x16 slots GEN 3 the Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 has pcie x16 slots gen 2.
This make zero difernce as there are no AM3+ cpu's capable of gen 3 pcie.
