The motherboard I am looking at has a "1 x PCIe 2.0 x16" slot.
However the GPU has a "PCI Express 3.0 x16" slot.
Is this a problem or not?

Depends what type of video card you have
It's the Asus 7770
No its not a problem "PCI Express 3.0 x16" isent in use yet there are no cards that fully use all bw from PCIe 2.0 x16 yet
