I recently got help with a pc build on reddit and i was just wondering if i were to upgrade my graphics card how would i know that its compatible with my motherboard and what are my choices because it was a budget build. The motherboard that was picked out for me was the MSI H81M Eco Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard and the graphics card is a XFX Radeon R9 280 3GB Black Edition Double Dissipation Video Card
Ummm, there really isn't a modern GPU that is "incompatible" with any modern mobo. We have no clue what the rest of your build is, so there is no way for us to help you till that info is given.
Perhaps you should do some research of your own, there is a thing called google, it works when you have internet.

Should be compatible, definitely.
if i upgrade my graphics card in the near future do you think the power supply would be able to handle it just fine or should i get a better one just to prepare for that?
Depends what GPU, a 280 should be fine on that though.
The power supply is fine but your cpu is too slow to even run that 370 proficiently. Swap in these: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ZVgZL
can you explain to me what a 280 is. I really dont know much about computers

would this be fine ?
That'd be fantastic.
280 as in an r9 280. The gpu.
You need 500W or more, you are fine!
Gaming GPUs donĀ“t really need more than PCI-E gen3 8x from my experience.
