Motheboard upgrade for my 2600K

Ok, I'm still rocking the 2600k. In perfectly happy with it and know that I can squeeze some more power out of it if I want to. However, I find that my motherboard is lacking. It's only got PCIe 2.0 and I want to get up to 3.0. I'm running with the Asus P8Z68-V LE.

Since everyone's been around the block with the 2600k, what's going for be the best motherboard upgrade for this bad boy? I'm seeing the AS Rock Z77 Extreme4 as a potential good choice?

That upgrade wont make sense.
Since your cpu does not support pci-e3.0
So even with a Z77 board, you will still only able to utilize pci-e 2.0.

But dont worry even if you still rock on pci-e2.0 its still totaly fine.
There is still no single gpu on the market today, that can fully maxout pci-e 2.0 bandwidth

You know, I read that it supported PCIe 2.0 this morning but I didn't think anything of it. Nice call.
