Is there any VPN's out there that are good and free? The ones that Logan showed off cost money and not everyone can get it. So what about free VPN's? One that I'm aware of is SoftEther VPN which is free. Is it or is any free VPN any good?
Hot Spot Shield has a free version I believe. It's ad-based (usually shows up on your homepage) and you can only connect to a USA based VPN. It is free though.
I highly doubt it - the whole point of a VPN is to remain anonymous - if a VPN is "free" they have to pay the bills somehow. A wise person once said "if a service is free, YOU are the product" and your private information has a lot of value, especially to advertisers.
To me, it seems about as effective as having sex with a ripped condom. PrivateInternetAccess isn't that expensive - only $40 per year. That's very reasonable.
Hotspot has a bandwidth cap at least the free version does. Its keeps shutting stuff down with a you have exceeded the bandwidth limitations. :")~ So keep that in mind. Thought i would say that, since no one else has.
Anything that is 'free' isnt. It will always come at a cost. Spend the money OP and get a good service. If you are in a sharehouse split the cost - eg. 1yr purevpn service is $50 (split between 5 devices (1 per person) thats $10 per year each) & unlimited data throughput. Thats a pretty sweet deal in anyone's language.
I have been using purevpn for a couple of years now and wouldn't go back.
There's GyberGhost free VPN.Times you out after 3hours or so and then you have to reconnect again.
But i echo the sentiments about the paid services raised by the rest here.
I would recommend against HMA. They have been known to forward copyright breach notices to subscribers who torrent etc.
