Monitoring Files on Google Products

I am interested in buying the Google Pixel C and the next Google Smartphones.

If I put music and audio files on the devices will google monitor the files on the hard drives. My concern is that the devices could upload my file list. I don’t want to get hit with a piracy notice.

Also, I don’t intend to upload my music or movies to the cloud.

Any input is appreciated.

Like @hutchison15 said only if you're sharing and it makes Google notice you is the only time there might be an issue. If you don't share and just listen to it on you're own you're fine.

I'd even recommend uploading your audio files to Google Music so that they can be easily streamed and accessed anywhere.
