Monitor Speakers Not Detected Anymore?

So I recently built a new computer and everything was running smoothly for a couple weeks, but I got a notification telling me to update my nvidia drivers. I tried and the computer crashed and would keep crashing. The only way to fix it was to run off the integrated graphics, uninstall everything nvidia and reinstall it. But since that my computer is not detecting my monitor's speakers through display port. That among other problems but those are for a different post. Any help would greatly appreciated.

It's a known problem.with the latest nVidia drivers. They are totally shit. Know to cause crashes, audio problems.and even brick GPUs. Roll back the drivers.

I thought that might be the problem as well. I rolled back to the 361.91 drivers, the drivers I know used to work, and still no luck.

Quickest solution to fixing problems in windows is reinstalling windows

Have you tried fiddling around the speaker settings in windblows and seeing if it's disabled and hidden?

didn't they pull that driver?

I have messed with the playback/record devices since I switch between headphones and speakers so often and I still can't find them. Normally my Samsung monitor which has a headphone output is there and my Asus monitor with has both speakers and a headphone output is there. Oddly enough since I rolled back the drivers I do get a high definition audio device that's not plugged in, not sure what that's all about.
