Monitor random lines/refresh rate

My benQ montior has been acting strange the past few days. If I start up my PC I get a white screen for about 30mins then after I start seeing lines refreshing with the colours of my background, slowly more lines aper till it is a full picture, some lines change to random colours till it is all loaded up. Then when I want to look at an image or a new webpage, it has to load the picture all over again. Had this monitor for about a year with no issue till now

i think the screen or the gpu is dying but try to update the drivers of the gpu see if that works. reseat power connectors on mobo and gpu. and if you can test the screen on another pc to see if the problem stil continues if it does screen is probably broken if not it could be gpu.

and what kind of cable are you using to connect it with? if its vga or dvi etc. it could be that the cable is broken

Very odd, I just reset all the screen settings and it fixed it, but as soon as I lower the brightness to about 50% it starts glitching out again.

I use a DVI cable.

Yeah I did a test using another screen and it was fine.

you used the same cable on that screen if so, the screen is broken while its now kind of fixed i would be prepared that the screen will be dead in a couple of days or weeks if not you are dam lucky

Yeah the colour settings worked for abit but now if I let it sleep or restart my PC, it comes back. so you think it's broken?
