Monitor no video input

hello i just build a new pc with some old components like my cpu and hardrive thats just the parts that are old.

the other parts are brand new and i watched a guide and i followed it.

now when i boot my pc all the fans work and it seems to be working but on my monitor it says no video input. 

It's driving me crazy and i am afraid that i just wasted 1500 dollars for nothing :C7

please help.

You're gonna need to post more than that for someone to help you like the parts list for starters, maybe a few pics of the setup, and if your motherboard has onboard trouble shooting LEDs what is the code readout. Sometimes reseating graphics cards can help and maybe try onboard graphics(if you have it)to see if it is the videocard.
