It's like a high pitched buzzing noise but the weird thing is that it only does it on this forum page. I've never heard his before but my monitor is around 5 years old. its an acer gd245hq. why is it doing that? any ideas?
If it was with the forum in full screen... that could be blamed a the dark theme, and thus the back light being modulated to cause darker blacks - or because black needs less power your screens switch-mode PSU ending up in a stat where its switching frequency causes coilwine; but if it only on this specific subsite its oddly strange.
@Th3Z0ne gave a good answer. To test if display the black causes problems to your monitor make a huge black pic with paint and put it in fullscreen. If the monitor buzzes you got the answer to your question. If it doesent try to switch to a dark grey.
iirc black actually takes more power than white. But still the same idea applies. The difference in power is pretty marginal but still worth a test.

Ok, that I did not expect... the black needs more... none the less.. a fluctuation in powerdraw still can caus the coilwine.
It was true for CRT's but yea still a fluctuation in power which would cause the coil whine.
