Monitor for gaming/3d world editing

So In my new build I am not 100% sure which monitor to get. Since it is mostly for gaming I was hoping for 120hz and possibly 3D vision. Not concerned with a higher than 1080p resolution either as I would use my gpu to produce a better in game asthetic rather than a higher resolution.

Here a two monitors which I have been looking at so far:

BenQ XL2420T: https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=558_1210&products_id=19260

or

ASUS VG278HE: https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=558_1210&products_id=21588

Let me know which monitor would best suit my needs.

Gaming? Nothing compares with the XL2420T, but it is not a good editing monitor.

For editing, getting an IPS monitor would suit your needs much better. The color reproduction on the Benq is... bad, but not for gaming. It fades blacks out, so people cant hide on screen. With lots of time, I got mine to look semi decent for general use.

Alright I'll get the benQ then. I don't mind adjusting the colours and I won't be video or image editing so it should be fine.

If you play FPS games, you will never be able to play on anything again. You've been warned

sorry to divert topic temporarrily but what happened to the 7970 vs 670 thread?

I dunno, sorta weird. I posted in it, and it disappeared.
