I recently purchased Assasin's creed 3 during the steam summer sale and i havent been able to play it due to this issue. Whenever i launch the game, My monitor changes the resolution to 1920x1080 50p. When in game the resolution is set to 1600x900 (my monitors native resolution). I would greatly appreciate if anybody could help me with this. Thank you.
Are there any scaling options set in your GPU settings, and just thinking what GPU do you have?

In Catalyst Control Centre under my dightal Flat Panels. Also what is your desktop resolution set to in windows and Catalyst Control?
