Hello all,
I am setting up a home lab network rack containing 7 computers, and I want to manage them through my KVM, and gigabyte monitor. When I switch the KVM to a PC that has integrated graphics, the monitor display works as expected, but displays “HDMI2 No Signal” when switching to a machine that uses a dedicated card. I tested the KVM using a Viewsonic monitor and I experienced no issues, so the problem seems localized to using the gigabyte monitor. I’d like to know how to fix this, and get a deep understanding for why this problem occurred.
Equipment are as follows:
Monitor(s)
KVM
USB Switch
GPUs
CPUS
AMD Ryzen 7950x
AMD Ryzen 5600x
AMD Ryzen 5600g
AMD Ryzen Pro 4650ge x2
AMD Ryzen Pro 2400ge
What Ive Tried So far
- Swapping different hdmi cables between the monitor and kvm, and between the kvm and host computers
- Updating the firmware on my M28u monitor
- Lowering screen resolution to 60hz in windows display settings
- Turning off the M28u’s built in KVM
