Just wanted to know what you guys think about the following monitor and if there are any other monitors you would recommend and finally, if I should go with a larger monitor.
I will be building a new PC, most likely with a GTX 780 Ti and I know Gsync is coming out next year but my current monitor is maxed out at 60hz on native setting.
I have it and it's great although I"m about the frames and not the graphics. If your're looking for speed it's one of the best. I'm not sure if the new benq 144hz has better colors maybe something to look into.
I would stick with your 60hz monitor till the gsync monitors come out. If you going to drop the money on a 780 ti then might as well get the best experience out of it. That being said this is a good monitor if for raw fps.
Do you want high frame rate? Or high resolution? The 780ti happens to be good for both. I don't believe Gsync is compatible with the higher resolution IPS panels.
I would recommend the PB278Q, if you wanted to go 1440p. I personally prefer ultra high-definition and the best colours.
Otherwise, the ASUS you have chosen, or the BENQ (aforementioned) would be good choices
You could roll the dice on a Korean 1440p monitor (QNIX 27 or XSTAR) and probably get at least a 96hz, and possibly 120hz+, and also get high resolution and IPS colors. I have an xstar and it does 120hz, and looks beautiful.
I think Ill just wait to get a G sync monitor since the DIY kit to enable G Sync on the monitor I posted is $175 so might as well wait. Thanks for the help
