Money or power

First time building a PC, here are my parts:

i5 3570k ASRock

Z77 Pro 3 Motherboard (I heard asrock makes bad mobos and I dont want any risks, any (specific) alternatives?)

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

8GB (2x4) G.Skill 1866hz RAM

Samsung 120GB SSD

Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD

Asus Radeon HD 7870

NZXT Source 210 Elite

NZXT HALE82 80+ 650W power source

LG Blu ray drive.

Should I save money by changing the i5 out for an FX 6300? Or future proof more with the 3570k

Well, the i5 is no longer future proof as the new i5 will be on the 1150, and the 6300 is not as fast so...

You could try goin for an 8350. Lil bit cheaper than the 3570k and does just about as good if not a small bit better in games. Also with that cpu you won't have to worry about upgrading soon,

socket 1155 mobo : Msi Z77 mpower  (bigbang series)

but you can also take a look at a Asus M5A99FX pro 2.0 or sabbertooth, with the FX8350...

what's the bit with the i5? I don't know much about pc building just yet
