i need your help guys!!! since 2 days i got mw2 but it becomes more horrible from day to day!!! yesterday it first started lagging a bit (short freezes) i thought ok it might be the updated game engine so it needs more power and so i turned AA off! today i started playing and there was no lag so i turned up the aa to 4x again and no lag when i had to load again because i died i started lagging like crazy and was gone after a few moments when i came to the next mission it became even more worse: i could see some frame like 10 seconds and sometimes i got framerates over 80!!!!!! so i lowered the AA again to 2x and now this is the worst i ever had!!!!!!!! but i dont think that my video card is bad or anything else i forgot to mention that the cpu goes down to 10% durin those lags and all the other time its at 100%(even higher than in gta 4 and it laggs more than crysis on highest settings the old mw run fine and same for waw)
video card: 9800gtx+ @ 750/1950/1150(2300) cpu: intel core 2 duo e6420 @ 2,5 ghz driver: 195.55 beta
this kinda sux: the game crashed after it was frozen for about 20 seconds, then i restarted it and it worked better than ever with the same drivers, same hardware and same settings!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mw 2 is the only game that laggs like this it is like crysis wh without patch and in dx10 mode at highest settings xD and i dont think that mw 2 need such a good gfx card
ok got it fixed now xD i had daemon tools running with some virtuals drives which took up too many ram now the next problem: i nearly finished the game but while the last loading screen appears (after the waterfall) it freezes and beep ERROR!!!!!!!!!! anybody know what to do? dont wanna reinstall because it took me like 45 min (dont know why xD)
ok shut the fuck up with the greater than less than symbols, you megotrice cult follower... the beta drivers gave me a 2-3 fps INCREASE in games, not a decrease.
i think i knew what is wrong about it but i dont want to tell the whole world why^^ maybe this helps you: daemon tools xD hdd to hdd copy is slower than from dvd to hdd (but i did this only because of steam <- hate it!!!!)
I have the same video card. It runs a lot worse then COD4 and I have to lower the settings and it doesn't look that much better than COD4. Just wait for new drivers.
make sure you dont have any high end setting forced on by your video card driver, one time i had 32x AA on because i was doing a benchmark, then i tried to play crysis XD i doubt it will be the problem for you but always safe to check. also, are u using a torrent?
(but i did this only because of steam <- hate it!!!!)
