It’s pretty cool how nvidia forces you to pay a software license to use hardware. I’m hoping someone smart will figure out how to use SR-IOV (vGPU) features without the license, it’s just wasteful to need multiple gpu’s for virtual computers.
I just picked up a Tesla P4 and it should be able to do basic PLEX transcoding for me with standard full passthrough, but it’d sure be nice to accelerate a few other services.
You were able to get Passthrough working without any issues on a P4? I was planning to pass one through on Proxmox myself for a docker VM hosting services that and take advantage of a GPU (Jellyfin, OBS, Etc.). I just want to make sure before I blow money on one.
