Mobo power and PSU power cables issue

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on this.

I have:

  • Asus B760 Plus WiFi D4 motherboard
    and a
  • Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular PSU

However I have an issue, the psu came with 2 power cables for CPU 8 pin but nothing for the 4 pin? Does the 4 pin need to be plugged in?

And the second 8 pin cannot be splinted into 4+4 separately?

Ah ha… My bad… Yes it can… DOH!!!

What I mistook as a plastic solid plastic guide, was actually splitable on that point, I need glasses…

Well the second connector on the left does not look like a fixed connector to me.
The right one is indeed a fixed 8 pin.
