I'm helping a mate of mine pick parts for his first pc. I'm at that part where i need to choose a mobo. I don't know what are good motherboards for the fx8350. I have a fx6300 with an asus m5a97 r2 970, but for him idk if it will be good for the fx8350. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. His budget for a mobo is 150. I'm hoping to play on pc with him soon :) I'm still inexperienced since i build my pc only a week ago. Thanks.

Gigabyte is a great brand and this board has lots of connectivity. This board is compatible with the FX8350 cause it has an AM3+ socket.
At that bedugt, get the UD5, not the UD3. Much better VRM and overall better board, especially for overclocking.
The UD5 is a great board. If you want to stick with the $150 budget, take advantage of the mail in reabate available

I would recommend a Asus board realy. they have the best quality AM3+ board, i would suggest a 990FX chipset.

I could recommend if he can afford it, to pickup one of the 2 Sabertooths the normal or the Gen 3, on the other hand the Asrock Extreme 9 is also a great board, Asrocks top of the line board with 12+2 powerphase digi vrm´s and goldplated japanese capacitors.
