Mobo/CPU Compatability Questions

I this motherboard http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-157-506 compatible with my AMD FX-8150 cpu? And is it compatible to overclock with that cpu?

Nope, it is not compatible.

Anything on this list is compatible with the AMD FX-8150 though:

I would suggest the ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 or the ASUS M5A99FX Evo R2.0. Both can overclock.

really not sure if this is a troll thread or what.....

OP amd and intel cpu's aren't cross compatible. Hence separate listings for each other - amd am3, fm2 etc  /// intel z97, intet h87, intel 2011 etc.

Its not, I'm just a noob when it comes to motherboards entirely, thanks for explaining it though :P

One of the main reasons I was upgrading was so I could get usb 3.0. Do you know any decent around 100-150 dollars with usb 3.0?

Awkward I meant to say pci express 3.0 ports, but I am watching a  video that said amd mobo's all run 2.0.

Those asus boards (mentioned above) are excellent value for money & have onboard usb3 headers - this is what you plug the internal (blue tip) cable to thats inside your case.

good solid Asus boards  ... there are more expensive  ... but these will hack it.

I don't even think Titans fully saturate PCIe 2.0 slots, so you probably won't need PCIe 3.0 slots. Although I think certain some boards on the FM2+ socket have PCIe 3.0, but that won't work with an FX 8150 either.

When looking for a motherboard, you start with the right socket. When your CPU is an FX-8150, your socket is AM3+, so only AM3+-Mobo will work. The board you suggested in you OP is a socket 1150-Mobo, which is intended for Intel-CPUs.

Yeah I heard it doesn't even really make much difference, but thankyou for the help! probably going with the first one you recommended!
