Mirrors edge catalyst pc

It's not him specifically. It is the entire topic...
FuryX beats 980Ti everywhere but in a test, where reviewers said 4GB cards are useless in that setting, and everyone jumped "gimpworks". And this is amd optimized title. The benchmarks are showing it.
I don't know...

hmmm

That's actually how I thought Hyper settings was an Nvidia specific settings, I just can't for the life of me remember what Youtuber said that when they were benchmarking Mirror's Edge Catalyst. It seems like Nvidia is getting more and more sneaky with their craft. I know Doom 4 had the same issue, alpha worked fine for both cards, until the last minute id decides to partner with Nvidia and lo and behold, AMD cards had performance issues at the first two days to of Doom 4.

I actually did not know that...
That is sad... Really sad... The saddest thing is, that this shit works...
I need to take some time off the internet...

I just refuse to fall prey to stupid psychological tricks anymore

I am just going to have to learn to turn settings down (despite the "max power!" urge to crank everything up)...and just enjoy games with settings turned down a notch.

first thought when seeing it

'damn.. those 'ultra' shadows look a bit poop'

2nd thought was

'damn.. those 'hyper' shadows look a bit poop'

@flazza
You have to be hyper to see the difference.

Bwa ha ha ha ha

why in hell would you highlight a graphical 'fuckup' as a key selling point.

hilarious.., half of that reflected text should not even be visible.

Doesn't that remind you of another game they were boasting about being great with Nvidia hardware, and it ended up crap... IDK... Sounds like Deja Vu...

IMO Ultra looks better than Hyper.

Has anyone actually played it, I'd like to know if it's any good.

The reason hyper doesn't run well on the Fury cards is because they're 4gb cards, and hyper setting uses uncompressed textures just to hog more resources, you wont see any difference in IQ between the two settings.

Also that shadow comparison is kinda silly imo, we had better shadows in 2007 with crysis one.
I remember tweaking the ini files and I got stupid sharp shadows, I think I was using 4k shadow maps.

The 'atari' pixel shadows are hilarious
